One day, the lazy little western town of Riverbend is overtaken by mysterious crayon-like scribblings. What can they be? Crayon-like scribblings? We're not telling. At any rate, terror and mayhem ensues.
WHY CHILDREN WILL LIKE IT: Are you kidding? Told their entire life not to color in books, Mr. Van Allsburg by example grants them permission. Yee-haw! After Bad Day perhaps they can graduate to coloring in bigger books. You know, those really old first editions in mommy and daddy's room.
